The goal:
Updating the existing Verification Portal to be compliant with our Pattern Library and improve search functionality and display of customer data.
The problem:
Users were having problems with the search functionality, they had to enter 3 fields: family name, birthdate and ID #. Often, one of the fields wouldn’t match the other fields and result in an error. The verifier would have to call customer service for help. User Interface was outdated and not using our Pattern Library.
The screenshot below shows the original UI, the search is on the left and the results are on the right.
The strategy:
The user interface needed a complete overhaul. I designed wireframes using our current patterns and collaborated with the Front End team to shepherd the designs through the development process.

Feedback received post release of the new Verification Portal UI: “Functionality is much improved and regulatory customers are happier. “
